X Games by way of Photo (and Villopoto)

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Here are some photos from the recent Winter X Games.  The crew was fresh off a grand adventure in California riding at AMA Supercross points leader Ryan Villopotos house.  Phil tried to remember how to snowskate, Kwandy brought his “black leg”, and Binz snapped some pics to share with all of you.  Enjoyment for the eyeballs…

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

The 2nd annual 2010 Midwest Open was great success and enjoyed by 40-some shredders and superb action in every class! Let’s just say two shredtastic skate stompers from Phil’s hometown of Elkhorn felt all too comfortable being close to home taking the Expert and Amateur wins.

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Come and try your hand and feet at snowskating at the 2nd annual Midwest Open of Snowskating at Smagical Acres in Elkhorn Wisconie this Valentine’s Day weekend. Prepare to make Ambition Snowskates your valentine and the fall in love with the preview of Smagical 3!

With footage from J-Law’s MiniMoto antics, what is believed to be the first car rail slide, to flipping out like a ninja on off-road rollerblades at supercross superstar Ryan Villopoto’s house, the Smagical 3 preview is a must see! Hang ten at one of the newest, raddest skateparks during the day, and prepare to get loose on the mini ramp at night with whatever it is you may shred on!

The Midwest Open starts at 2 p.m. with open riding practice at noon on Saturday. Then catch the highly anticipated Smagical 3 preview at 7 p.m. with plenty of night hours left for in-barn shredtivities where plenty of great laughs footage are to be had! There’s talk of a few snowboard kickers being crafted to keep competitors and spectators warm, and if that doesn’t keep you toasty Trick “Seth” Karl Smage’s favorite hot chocolate will be available for purchase with proceeds going into the already large purse for those top skaters!

Compete in 3 different classes, Beginner, AM, and Expert. The first two will have prizes from Ambition Snowskates, Icon Snowskates, Premier Snowskates, Adrenaline Boardshop, and Smagical.com! Also open to all competitors are the Best Trick and High Ollie competitions. Every entry recieves a prize.

2010 X Games Snowskate Results

1. Alan Gerlach

2. Phil Smage

3. Justin Roleau

Smagical shredders and Ambition Snowskates riders Alan Gerlach and Phil Smage take the top spots at the FUSE Snowskate sponsored X Games 14.  Honorable mentions go out to Justin R. for killing it, and Max Hilty for coming out of “retirement” to claim 3rd in Best Trick.  A huge shout out to Smagical Stars Ross Martin and Doug Henry.  Ross came from a second row start to claim 2nd in Snowcross behind Tucker Hibbert, while Doug made his return to racing a good one with a 3rd in Adaptive SnowX!  Good job to all the riders repping the goat!
